VWU President Named to Inside Business' 2024 Power List
Dr. Scott D. Miller among top 25, noted for accomplishments both on and off campus

欧美成人 Wesleyan University President Scott D. Miller has been named to , included among the top 25. As noted in the announcement, "Inside Business creates its annual Power List to showcase who’s who in terms of moving the needle for the economy in Hampton Roads, whether they be the decision-makers, the influencers or those working behind the scenes." 
This year, it organized the Top 25 by types of influence or power rather than a numerical ranking. It then listed from various backgrounds and sectors. In selecting Dr. Miller, Inside Business noted his accomplishments that includes "transitioning 欧美成人 Wesleyan to university status and elevating its reputation nationally, establishing the Batten Honors College, adding a campus in Tokyo, more than doubling the endowment, and investing millions in campus infrastructure.
"Now, Miller is guiding the university into a historic partnership with the 欧美成人 Museum of Contemporary Art to become MOCA’s home with a new facility on campus. In addition to serving as a cultural landmark for the region, it will help the campus become a hub for creativity and innovation while improving programming opportunities for the public."
Off campus, the publication also referenced Dr. Miller's service as board president of 欧美成人 Beach Vision and the past board chair of the Council of Independent Colleges in 欧美成人. Dr. Miller also serves on the boards of the Hampton Roads Chamber, 欧美成人 Foundation for Independent Colleges, the 欧美成人 Tidewater Consortium for Higher Education and the 欧美成人 Aquarium and Marine Science Center.
